Esko elevates Jeremy Zywicki to head football coach

Esko High School has announced Jeremy Zywicki as the next head coach of their football team. Zywicki will begin his off season duties immediately according to Esko Activities Director Chad Stoskopf.

Zywicki, 48, will be the team’s fifth head coach since the program’s inception.

“He began his coaching career at Moose Lake/Willow River where he was an offensive assistant and was
part of several state tournament teams,” explained Stoskopf. “He then was the head coach at Wrenshall leading the Wrens to several section championship appearances. Jeremy spearheaded the merge of the Carlton-Wrenshall Football co-op that exists today.”

Zywicki, a Twig native, recently completed his third year as the varsity assistant coach at Esko. He takes over for Scott Arntson, who stepped down in December after his ninth season at the helm of Esko football.

“We’re excited to retain Jeremy’s services and believe he’s going to have an outstanding head coaching
career!” continued Stoskopf.
