Free childcare and Election Day activities at Duluth YMCA

You’re invited to celebrate Election Day with the Downtown Duluth YMCA. They offer a day of family-friendly activities for all ages and free childcare so adults can vote. Everyone is invited, whether you’re a longtime member of the Y or stopping in for the first time.

The days events are as follows:

  • Aspirus, St. Luke’s Kids Club (8:45 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
    Open to the public, Kids Club offers supervised play and activities for children with a two-hour maximum per child, ensuring everyone can join in on the day’s events.
  • Live Band (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
    Enjoy lively music during the day’s festivities, setting a fun atmosphere.
  • Prize Drawings (10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.)
    Attendees have the chance to win exciting prizes. Drawings will be held throughout the day.
  • Ongoing Activities (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
    • YMCA Word Search: Explore what membership has to offer by finding keywords in a themed word search.
    • Find My Polling Place: Discover your polling location and get information on how to participate in this year’s election.
    • The polls are open: Participate in playful, themed “polls” and share your opinions!
    • Voting Stickers: Commemorate your day with voting stickers available throughout the Y.

“We’re thrilled to welcome everyone to the Y for a day of fun and engagement as we support our community in staying active and informed,” said Mitchell Lochner, Human Resources and Training Coordinator, at the Duluth Area Family YMCA. “Whether you’re here to cast your vote or simply want to enjoy some family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone!”

Community members over the age of 16 need a valid ID to enter.
