G.B. Leighton kicks off tourism campaign for Lovin’ Lake County

A sneak peak at the original song Nature's Rhythm, Center Stage by G.B. Leighton that kicks off a new tourism campaign for Lake County.

A new way to lure people to Lake County includes original music by G.B. Leighton. It’s called ‘Nature’s Rhythm, Center Stage,’ and is also the name of the marketing campaign.

Brian Leighton, the lead singer and songwriter, met us in Two Harbors on Wednesday.

“I’m excited to help bring people up here,” he shared. “I’ve been getting to know so many people, it’s starting to feel like a second home.”

A series of videos will combine Brian’s talents, along with the fun he had up the shore making pies, taking a dip in the big lake, and fishing.

Lovin’ Lake County is excited about this collaboration. Marketing Director Kathryn Holm shared, “We think ‘Nature’s Rhythm, Center Stage’ perfectly illustrates the story we want to tell about the Northland, and Brian’s popularity will bring great awareness to Lake County.”

Brian is also living in recovery now, after going into treatment in December. He’d turned to alcohol after his father died. “I want to keep living, and live longer. “

The kick off concert is Thursday at 6pm at Castle Danger Brewery in Two Harbors. It is free! You can hear the full song.
