Here comes (more than 900) Santa Clauses at the Wild Santa 5k

Over 900 runners dressed as Santa Claus hit the road for the Wild Santa 5k.

It was quite the sight, over 900 runners dressed as Santa Claus got out for a run at the Wild Santa 5k on Saturday December 14th.

Young runners got out too, kids 8 years old and under could run in the Reindeer Run wearing reindeer antlers.

It was supporting a good cause too. A portion of the race registration proceeds went to supporting Northland Adaptive Recreation’s programing.

“We are the largest gathering of Santas in the Midwest, as far as we know,” said Jane Pederson Jandl the Marketing Director at Wild State Cider. “Next year we’re going for the record in all of America. So, folks, start thinking about next year.”

Runners got a free drink and cup of chili to warm up after the race.
