The Northland will experience another afternoon with widespread 70s, some areas further south even have a chance of nearing the 80-degree mark across east-central Minnesota and northwest portions of Wisconsin.

The clear and sunny skies will be parting in the evening as a ridge extending up into the Midwest moves out east. Once it clears, an incoming cold front will bring widespread rain showers and a few thunderstorms across northern Minnesota. Most of the rain will fall along the North Shore and across Arrowhead in the morning and early afternoon before continuing east across the lake overnight.

With the arrival of cooler air for Wednesday morning, its likely for a few flakes to be flying up north with a chance for just a trace to an inch of snow falling north of the Iron Range. Any snow will fall overnight Tuesday and before sunrise on Wednesday. After Wednesday conditions will fall into a normal temperature pattern with highs in the mid-40s and cooler evenings in the upper 30s.

A few quick showers pass by Thursday and then the fall conditions continue through the weekend ahead.
