Story North Production’s new project “The Unconventional Chef” premiered at the DECC on Tuesday January 7th.

The piece follows the story of The DECC executive chef Jerry Carpenter who’s been in that role since 2021.

The DECC hosts hundreds of events a year drawing in thousands of people, so Carpenter know how to work under pressure.

“What really makes Jerry the magic that he is just his character, and his passion for what he does,” said Kevin Jacobson a Creative Director at Story North Productions. “Again, having 2000, 3000 plates is a lot. You’re working under pressure, but he’s cool, calm, and collected.”

“The Unconventional Chef” follows Carpenter’s start as a chef, to his work bringing quality meals to crowds at the DECC.
