Twins are the first babies born in 2024 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center

The first babies born in 2024 at Essentia Health- St. Mary’s Medical Center were twins.

Addison Evonne Traver was born at 11:22 a.m. Monday morning, and her sister, Brinley Eve Traver followed just two minutes after.

Addison weighed 5 pounds, 4.3 ounces, while Brinley weighed 4 pounds, 3.7 ounces.

Mom Elle Ustipak and Dad Jason Traver say that twins do not run in their family.

The parents also explained the significance of their new girls names. Addison’s middle name, Evonne, is the same as her maternal grandmother’s. Brinley’s middle name, Eve, represents a new year and new beginnings.

Addison and Brinley become the first “first babies of the year” born at the new St. Mary’s Medical Center, which opened in July 2023.
