Walkway on Aerial Lift Bridge closed for falling snow and ice

Ice and snow are falling from the Aerial Lift Bridge with Thursday’s warm temperatures. The City of Duluth is closing the lakeside pedestrian walkway to the public out of an abundance of caution. Wednesday’s snowstorm played a role in the accumulation.

The bayside walkway is open, but pedestrians are encouraged to be careful. The city says snow and ice may fall on the walkway without notice.
