Baby found at MSP, mother has been located

UPDATE: MSP airport police department has canceled their attempt to locate and identify alert. The child has been identified and her mother has been located safe.

The MSP Airport Police Department asked for the public’s help in identifying and locating the parents or guardians of an infant found at the airport.

An adult woman in crisis and the infant arrived on the light rail on Sunday, August 21 at approximately 9pm.

Investigators did not believe the woman was a relative or guardian of the child. Despite “exhaustive investigation efforts” authorities did not know the identity of the baby at the time of the alert.

No missing persons report matched the description of the child.
