Areas of patchy fog have set up overnight, leading to localized poor visibility. This should lift by around 9 a.m. Early cloud cover will break up through the morning with sunshine on tap the rest of the day. It’s another day with a cool east wind that will limit temperatures along the shores of Lake Superior and present the danger of rip currents. High temps will be in the mid-60s immediately near the lake while inland areas warm toward mid-70s.
Skies will be mostly clear overnight with temps falling back to mid-40s to mid-50s across the Northland. Patchy fog may once again develop and gradually lift after sunrise Tuesday. Warmer weather slowly builds from the west Tuesday and Wednesday with widespread 80s expected to return by Thursday. Quiet and generally sunny conditions will continue through this same period. A cold front passes on Friday to bring cloudy skies, scattered showers, and cooler air. The weekend will then be rather seasonable with slight chances for showers both Saturday and Sunday.
