Brandon Weatherz: Summery day with evening storms possible

Summery conditions are with us one last day before we really feel the shift of the seasons. Our Tuesday is warm and sticky, fueling the potential for strong thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. The Twin Ports are on the edge of that potential with a better chance for evening storms filling out northwest Wisconsin. If storms are able to develop, some may become severe with hail has the main hazard.
Our storm chances will be near and behind a passing front. That front will then trigger quite the cool down. We’ll be feeling fall tomorrow and through the rest of the forecast as temps stay closer to average. With the chilly conditions will come the chance for frost both Wednesday night and Thursday night, particularly for communities away from Lake Superior.
A few sprinkles will try to extend south of the Canadian border on Wednesday. High pressure keeps us clear and cool on Thursday, then the next widespread chance for rain arrives from the west Friday evening. A chance for showers lingers on Saturday.
