Early morning Ely stabbing; Suspect in custody

At around 3:00am the Ely Bloomenson Hospital reported that they were treating a patient with multiple stab wounds. The victim later was released with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ely Police Department later identified the 20-year-old suspect, who the victim said attacked him after an argument in his residence.

The suspect fled the scene on foot but then was later apprehended without incident. The suspect was later transported to Virginia Jail.
