Justin Liles: Another nice day Thursday
High pressure dominated the upper middle third of the Midwest today. We saw a great deal of sunshine, blue sky, and warmer temperatures Wednesday. There is a chance of seeing some patchy frost develop around the region tonight. A Frost Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service from 1am Thursday to 9am Thursday. Thursday will start out sunny, with clouds increasing from the west during the late afternoon and evening.
High temperatures will be in the 70s away from Lake Superior. Winds will become gusty during the daytime hours, sustained at 10-15 mph with gusts to 20 to 25 mph, strongest in central and north-central MN. Scattered rain showers and a few embedded storms move west to east across the area Thursday evening into Friday as a weak cold front slides through. Additional periods of showers and storms arrive this weekend through early next week.
