Northeast Minnesota’s Toward Zero Deaths workshop convenes in Duluth

Northeast Minnesota’s Towards Zero Deaths conference was hosted in Duluth on Tuesday.
Traffic stakeholders, local and state law enforcement agencies and local partners met at the Kitchi Gammi Club to discuss trends in traffic deaths and how to prevent them in the future.
Those who attended could take part in workshops such as responsible beverage server training, ATV safety courses and more. Guest speakers were also in attendance to shed light on Minnesota’s traffic death statistics and share their personal experiences with traffic accidents.
According to the program, since Towards Zero Deaths was started in 2003, traffic deaths have declined by 37 percent through 2023.
