Today will have afternoon highs will in the positive single digits but feel around ten degrees cooler. Winds will be better than the past couple of days at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Lake-effect snow on the South Shore will end by noon.
Temperatures will improve this week, with some areas reaching the teens on Monday. Starting Wednesday, we will have afternoon highs in the low thirties.
Snow chances return Tuesday afternoon. We could also see mixed precipitation, even a little bit of rain, on Thursday as temperatures warm to the mid-thirties in some areas. Duluth only needs 1.2 inches of snow this week to tie the record for the snowiest December. With multiple days of snow chances, this record of 44.3 inches could very well happen.
