Tracking freezing rain and heavy snow this week

Freezing rain chances increase this evening when rain changes over to freezing rain early Tuesday morning.  A small change in temperatures could have a much larger effect on more parts of the Northland, especially along the higher terrain of the North Shore.

Heavy snow along with strong winds will take over beginning Tuesday afternoon. Snow along with poor visibilities will likely create problems through Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday.

Strong winds and heavy snow could lead to downed power lines and school delays or cancellations by Wednesday morning. 

• Are there any School Closings?

The biggest threat for these issues will be in Bayfield, Ashland, and Iron Counties.
