After suffering their first loss of the season last week, the UMD football team returned home, and they beat the University of Mary handily, 46-0.
Not only did the Bulldogs score their second most points of the season, but they also pitched their second shutout as a defensive unit.
Mary came into the game winless, but it was a big game for UMD to bounce back nonetheless.
The Bulldogs took a 32-0 lead into halftime and wouldn’t look back. While Kyle Walljasper only threw for 96 yards, he also threw three touchdowns.
The Bulldogs will hit the road next weekend to take on Minot State in Minot, N.D. Kickoff Saturday is set for 1:00 p.m.
