UMD men’s hockey falls to No.10 Western Michigan in overtime

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey teams three game win streak was snapped on Friday with a 3-2 overtime loss to Western Michigan.
The Broncos captain Jason Polin opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal in the first period.
The Bulldogs even the score in the initial frame a Ben Steeves tally.
The Bulldogs were down 2-1 in the third period before Quinn Olson tied the game with 1:00 left on the clock.
UMD however fell in the extra frame by the final of 3-2.
UMD outshot Western Michigan in the game by the tally of 34-31.
The Bulldogs have a chance at revenge with the weekend series finale drops the puck Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
