UMD women’s hockey’s Van Wieren named finalist for Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup

University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey forward Clara Van Wieren is named a finalist for the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup. This award is given to athletes who embody the highest standards of character, teamwork, and citizenship.
Van Wieren is currently one of six finalists for the award, and one of only three women invited to attend an awards ceremony on April 25th at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
Van Wieren is the a Bulldogs captain, volunteer team coordinator, and leading scorer. She is also the president of the UMD Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and co-president of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.
