Rather quiet weekend is with us through the weekend. A few more light rain showers will be possible, but they will be similar in nature to the passing sprinkles of yesterday and last night that left little to no accumulation. Isolated rain showers were found mostly south of Lake Superior early this morning. This round gradually exits the Northland to the southeast through the morning with sunshine taking over. It’s a mild day with highs in mid-60s to low 70s.
Saturday features a breezy east wind with highs in the 50s along the North Shore. Highs inland will be in low to mid-60s. Sunday will be another day with 60s inland and cooler conditions near the lake, but lake influence won’t be as strong as Saturday. Both days will feature thicker cloud cover. Times of fog may set up Saturday into Sunday that may inhibit the view of the fall colors momentarily. Widespread dense fog is not expected at this time.
