Brandon Weatherz: Comfortable start to December
The comfortable and quiet stretch that closed out November will carry us through the start of December. Our Friday starts off cooler than then last few mornings with temps in low teens to low 20s. We top off in low to mid-30s under a mix of sun and clouds. Winds are light thanks to nearby high pressure. Tonight will see us back into teens to near 20 for lows under increasing cloud cover.
Saturday is then mostly cloudy with highs near and above freezing. A southeast wind will direct the chance for light lake effect snow showers or flurries along the North Shore beginning Saturday and continuing into Sunday. Even so, accumulation here should stay under an inch. A chance for light snow and flurries tries to reach northward from central Wisconsin Saturday night into Sunday.
A mild stretch with lows generally in the 20s and lows in the mid-30s begins Sunday and takes us through next week. Snow chances in that time remain rather minimal and hit-or-miss in nature as of this morning.
