A mild morning kicks off what will shape up to be a week with plenty of above average temperatures. Our Monday begins with temperatures around 30. Highs top off above freezing in the mid-30s. We first look to the North Shore for light lake effect flurries and snow showers this morning. A widespread round reaches in from the west late this afternoon and evening. We’ll see little to no accumulation with a dusting if anything expected for the Twin Ports and much of the rest of the region.

Light snow moves eastward across northwest Wisconsin overnight. Additional snow on Tuesday would be limited to the South Shore snowbelt, and even here we would continue to see little to no accumulation. Lows stay mostly in the 20s for another mild night, then highs Tuesday range from upper 20s near International Falls to mid-30s for the North Shore, Twin Ports, and south. We’ll fall mostly into the teens for a cooler night Tuesday into Wednesday before a warm front passes.

Wednesday’s front may bring light wintry mix showers to the Canadian border and into the Arrowhead. Highs reach mid-30s to low 40s. Thursday sees most areas into the 40s. Another system passes Friday to trigger closer to average temperatures over the weekend. This will be another system producing only light accumulation if anything with a mix of rain and snow expected north of Duluth.
