The most recent blast of spring has passed, and now we’re back with cool February weather to end the week. We head out the door mostly to single digits above and below zero, then highs stay in teens today with mostly sunny skies. Lake effect clouds and light snow will linger along the South Shore east of the Bayfield Peninsula. We stay clear and cold tonight with lows in single digits and teens below zero. Wind chills by Friday morning will be between -15 and -30 across the Northland.
Friday then features highs in the 20s, few clouds, and a gusty southwest wind as a warm front passes. This will be the work of a clipper system to the north that will be the first of several in the days ahead. A few flurries are possible Friday night, particularly looking north toward the Canadian border. Saturday is mild with highs in the 30s under a mix of clouds and sun. Another clipper rolls through on Sunday with a few snow showers possible. Yet another clipper brings snow chances Monday afternoon. Temps fall near and below average starting Monday and lasting through next week.
