It’s another morning commute where you’ll want extra time to navigate the snow and ice that remains on many roads. Fortunately, additionally wintry weather will be minimal as the responsible weather system finally exits the region to the east. Most of the lingering snow should be limited to Wisconsin today where it will gradually taper off from the northwest through the morning and afternoon. Additional accumulation will be less than an inch for most areas. An additional inch or so is possible for parts Ashland and Iron Co. where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 3 pm.
High pressure arrives behind the exiting system today with clearing skies from the west. Tonight will feature temps falling to single digits below and above zero and patchy fog to be mindful of for the Friday morning commute. Early fog and low cloud cover will give way to sun on Friday. We’ll continue to enjoy sunshine over the weekend. Saturday morning will start off cool with temps returning to single digits below and above zero, then highs range from upper teens to mid-20s. A dry and seasonable stretch of weather will take us through the middle of next week.
