Justin Liles: A touch of a wet week!

If you didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights last night, there is a small chance tonight. The best areas will be up north toward the International Border. However, skies will be clearer tonight to allow us the chance to see again. Before the clouds clear, there is still a chance of widespread light rain to light snow. These showers look to diminish by 10pm tonight. Temperatures will continue to be cooler this week until a warm front arrives on Thursday. Many of us look to climb into the 50s.

However, it won’t last long as a cold polar low arrives toward the end of the week and into the weekend. This weekend looks cold, wet, and windy. Some parts of the Northland may once again pick up heavy wet snow, along with some freezing rain this weekend. Temperatures profiles this weekend will be key in determining precipitation type but just know there is something heading our way for the weekend.
