Dry conditions are expected to prevail Thursday through the weekend outside of a few light rain/snow showers in spots Thursday afternoon and evening, mainly for far northern Minnesota and eastern northwest Wisconsin. The main concern for Thursday will be winds with gusty southerly winds starting early Thursday morning, then turning northwesterly in the wake of a cold front Thursday afternoon and evening as gusts to 30 to 45 mph will be possible across far eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

A few gusts in excess of 45 mph will be possible across Bayfield, Ashland, and Iron counties. If winds stick around long at this speed a wind advisory might be issued for these areas. Temperatures will remain above normal Thursday in the 50s and 60s for most before cooling near normal for Friday with highs in the 30s. Temperatures will remain closer to normal for the weekend but will trend slightly warmer with highs in the 30s and 40s. Rain showers mixed with some snow are possible Monday and Tuesday.
