Justin Liles: Chance of frost again tonight

Many areas of the Northland woke up to their first freeze this morning. Many areas across the Iron Range were in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Skies will again be clear tonight. Therefore, there is another chance of widespread frost tonight. The best areas tonight will likely be across the arrowhead and northern Wisconsin. There was even a surprise display of northern lights last night. Conditions don’t favor a display tonight but neither did last night. So, anything is possible.
If you are worried about plant life, you may want to bring your plants in or cover them up. If you live near the lake, you will likely see fog and no frost. Temperatures will increase along with more sunshine Thursday. Southerly winds will bring in some more moisture and as a cold front swing through late, more rain is possible Thursday night into Friday. Some light rain is possible over the weekend, but it looks as if we’ll see more clouds than sun. Hopefully, we see more sunshine as this weekend is Chester Bowl Fall fest.
