Justin Liles: Clear skies, cold, and Northern Lights
Gusty winds today will decrease throughout this evening and tonight as a weak front moves through the Northland and a high pressure follows behind. Clear skies and the chance of seeing the Northern Lights are possible tonight. Light winds are expected tomorrow across the area under the high. No precipitation is expected until the weekend.
Winds will shift out of the southeast and light lake effect snow is possible on the North Shore Saturday and Sunday, with northwest Wisconsin joining in light snow from a low-pressure system on Sunday. However, due to continued shift in the storm track to the southeast, whether northwest Wisconsin sees any measurable amount of snow is uncertain.
Another chance of light snow returns next Tuesday with a passing clipper. Once again not much snow is expected. Temperatures over will continue to be above normal with high by the middle to end of next week climbing into the upper 30s to low 40s again. Mid 40s away from the lake are possible.
