A cold front is still on track to push south across the region this afternoon and this evening, bringing rain and thunderstorms, a strong wind shift to the northeast, and dropping temperatures. Any precipitation will be mostly done by tomorrow morning, though some light rain showers could linger around the Brainerd Lakes to Hinckley through early afternoon Wednesday. Temperatures will be cooler depending on the exact placement of the cold front and how far west it can make it tomorrow. Winds will be gusty out of the east-northeast 15-35mph, strongest near the Twin Ports.

High temperatures near the shoreline communities will likely be 30° cooler than what we are seeing right now. Little to no chance of precipitation through the rest of the week after this evening`s cold front, and temperatures will climb into the 60s and 70s after Wednesday and through the end of the week. The holiday weekend in looking rather nice with above average temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Some light rain may return late Sunday into Monday.
