Justin Liles: Overcast skies this weekend

The shallowest layer of moisture hung around today and for the most part went unnoticed. A shallow layer only a few hundred feet thick became trapped under a much warmer layer aloft. As a result, we saw light snow around the region. Skies are beginning to clear some out west and up north to allow some clear skies. However, southerly winds will bring in warmer air and moisture.

Overcast skies and fog will hang around through the weekend. Temperatures will climb into the upper 20s Saturday and low to mid 30s Sunday. Another round of light snow mixed with rain is possible Monday into Tuesday. We are watching another round of wintry weather by the end of next week.
