Chances of northern lights looks good tonight

NASA models are showing there is a great chance for a brilliant display of northern lights tonight. The last time we had a display with this ranking was the weekend of May 11. It was Mother’s Day weekend and the weekend of the Minnesota fishing opener.

Tuesday night will be the best chance as the auroras nudge farther south and there will be less cloud cover. If you capture a photo of the northern lights, we would love to see it, send to weather@wdio.com.
