Happy Mother’s Day! Tonight will have clear skies and overnight lows close to forty degrees. The wind will gradually weaken before shifting direction late tonight.

Monday will have a gusty west wind that will get stronger by the afternoon. We finally get a break from being cooler by the lake as temperatures warm to the seventies. Portions of Carlton County and areas north may warm to the low eighties.

An east wind returns Tuesday afternoon, alongside a weak cold front. Tuesday will only be slightly cooler for most of the area, but temperatures close to the lake will be back to highs in the 50s and low 60s until Saturday.

The rest of the Northland will be back in the low sixties Thursday and Friday. Widespread rain is likely Thursday into Friday morning. Temperatures increase again Saturday.
