Tonight will have dense fog and overnight lows in the 30s. Saturday will have lingering fog with temperatures in the low 40s.

Rain will enter the region from the west after midnight Saturday night. Widespread showers are likely Sunday, lasting into Monday. Areas in Koochiching Counties and surrounding portions of Itasca and St. Louis Counties will have the rain become snow Sunday night with an inch or two of accumulation possible.

Looking ahead to post-Christmas travel, we will have rain Monday, mostly south of the Twin Ports. This rain will likely become freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday morning and stretch to areas just north of Duluth. This time frame could have slick roads and ice accumulation. Areas from Minneapolis to Hayward will be the worst to travel through on Tuesday morning.
