Light showers are expected to continue until around 1 am tonight, with no accumulation expected. Patchy fog is possible, clearing by sunrise. Overnight lows will be in the fifties.
Once this round of rain clears, dry conditions will prevail for a few days. An east to southeast wind will keep temperatures cooler by the lake during this time, especially Monday.
Monday’s highs will be in the seventies to low eighties. By Tuesday, we warm to the upper eighties. Wednesday is the first day of astrological summer and the warmest day this week, with many areas likely reaching the low nineties.
The downside to the warm, dry weather is that we will likely see drought conditions worsen. Fire weather may be an issue this week as well.
A cool front Wednesday night may bring rain, and there will be chances of rain Thursday through next weekend. Thursday and Friday’s rain might have the moisture needed to help with the dry soil conditions.
