Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely to continue this evening into Friday morning. By the afternoon, areas west of Bayfield will have dry weather.
Areas near Ashland and Hayward will have some lingering showers, clearing by the early evening. The U.P. will have rain lasting into the night with some lake-effect rain on the South Shore Saturday. We could see a few light showers late Friday night into early Saturday for the Twin Ports and Arrowhead region as well as spots stretching from International Falls to Hibbing.
A colder air mass will move through tonight, and seasonable temperatures are likely to stick around. Overnight lows will be in the low 40s. Friday will have highs in the upper 40s with a breezy northwest wind.
Afternoon highs will stay near 50 degrees through the weekend. Frost is possible for inland areas Saturday and Sunday morning, and widespread frost is likely Monday and Tuesday morning. Friday will likely be the best day to finish harvesting any fruits and veggies from your garden if you have not done so already.
