Sabrina Ullman: Light rain tonight, more rain chances ahead

Tonight will be cloudy with a west wind becoming northwest in the evening. Passing showers and thunderstorms are possible, but minimal accumulation is expected with this round of rain.
We could see a few lingering showers Wednesday morning before skies clear midday. Afternoon highs will be in the seventies.
Rain chances return Thursday night, lasting through Friday. This is our best chance of decent rain this week, but it is a little early to know how much we will get.
Normal precipitation this time of year is half an inch to an inch of rain each week, but we have had quite a dry summer. Drought conditions are expected to continue to worsen over the next week.
