Sabrina Ullman: Rain chances return Tuesday

Tonight will be cloudy with overnight lows ranging from 45 degrees in Grand Portage to 61 degrees in Brainerd. Areas from Grand Rapids to Aitkin may have light rain tonight, but most of the rain will stay to our west until Tuesday.

A few stray showers are possible Tuesday morning, with strong storms likely in the evening. Not much accumulation is expected with this system, with rainfall totals staying under half an inch. Areas in southern Itasca, southwest St. Louis, and western Douglas Counties as well as in Carlton, Pine, Burnett, and Aitkin Counties may have isolated severe thunderstorms, with hail up to an inch possible.

On and off rain and thunderstorms are likely most days this week, particularly Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday.
