Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a light westerly breeze and overnight lows in the thirties. A few light, passing showers are likely for the western portion of the Northland late tonight into early Sunday, starting at 3am for Lake of the Woods and Beltrami Counties. Skies will clear by midday Sunday.
Afternoon highs will be slightly cooler tomorrow than they were today. The wind will shift to the northeast in the afternoon, keeping temperatures cooler along the North Shore and the Bayfield peninsula. A coat may be needed for Apple Fest as Bayfield will have a high of 49 degrees.
Most of the area will be in the mid to upper 50s for our Sunday, making it a pleasant day to go see fall colors.
This week’s temperatures will peak on Tuesday, with portions of the Northland reaching the low seventies. A cold front Wednesday will bring rain. By Thursday, we will be back to having afternoon highs in the forties.
