It’s another chilly morning with some needing to scrape some frost off the windshield. Patchy fog is also something to be mindful of once again for the morning commute. We’ll find ourselves warming quickly today with highs in most areas reaching the 70s. It’ll be a touch cooler in mid-60s near Lake Superior in the Twin Ports and along the North Shore. International Falls stays in the 60s as one of the first communities to see a cold front that sweeps the Northland tonight into tomorrow.
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms build across north central Minnesota in the late afternoon and evening with locally heavy rain possible. Chances reach the Twin Ports around 7 pm. Widespread rain continues overnight into early Friday morning. Shower and thunderstorm chances linger in Wisconsin on Friday with another area of showers trying to climb south of the Canadian border into the Arrowhead. Friday will be comfortable with highs in mid-60s to low 70s.
The weekend will feel like fall. Saturday features highs in low to upper 60s and a low chance for a passing shower. Skies are otherwise mostly sunny. Sunday is another day with sunshine and 60s. Next week is trending to stay quiet with 70s building back into the region.
