The first few days of the week are quiet with a warming trend. A southeast wind will consistently keep temperatures by the shorelines on the cooler side, closer to 60. The lake wind will also present a high risk for rip currents with a Beach Hazards Statement in effect for the Head of Lake Superior until 10 pm today.
Highs today range from mid-60s to mid-70s with warmer conditions building into the Northland from the west. Tonight features lows in mid-40s to mid-50s and partly cloudy skies. There’s a chance for seeing northern lights around 4 am Tuesday, and sky conditions should cooperate overall.
Tuesday will see highs in low to mid-70s inland, then Wednesday features mid-70s to low 80s. We’ll still have widespread 70s Thursday and Friday, then we settle back into 60s as a region by Sunday. Dry weather is with us into Wednesday, then periodic showers and thunderstorms begin Wednesday night and remain in the forecast through the weekend.
