Wet weather from the weekend is still out there today. Expect periods of rain to continue through the day into tonight, gradually exiting the region to the south with the slow moving weather system responsible for the mess. Rain will be light to moderate overall, but moments of heavy rain remain possible, especially south of Duluth in east central Minnesota into western Wisconsin where we keep the best chance of additional amounts surpassing 1”. Additional amounts of .5-1” are expected for the Twin Ports reaching up the North Shore. Based on how saturated the ground already is, areal flooding is possible.
We finally dry out Tuesday through Thursday with a low chance for showers on Wednesday. A stretch of shower and thunderstorm chances return Friday and linger through the weekend. Temperatures will continue to be mild in the week ahead with highs returning to the 70s this weekend. For reference, Duluth’s average temps by Saturday fall to a high of 61 and a low of 42.
