Brandon Weatherz: Another mild day with a few showers
Similar to yesterday, our Thursday features patchy fog in the morning and sporadic showers in the afternoon. Most of the visibility issues are near the Iron Range for your morning commute. Temps start off mostly in the 30s, then we top off in low 50s to low 60s today. It’s still above average, but not as warm as yesterday. Hit-or-miss showers pop up in the afternoon across the Arrowhead and northwest Wisconsin, and a stray thunderstorm capable of pea-size hail is possible. Showers once again thin out after sunset. Breaks in clouds overnight may allow for more patchy fog and cool spots dipping below freezing.
Friday features low to upper 50s and morning clouds that give way to afternoon sun. By Saturday, highs will be well into the 60s for many. The exception will be Lake Superior’s shoreline communities due to an east wind. There’s a chance for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms Saturday night. Sunday will see inland areas into 60s to low 70s, and a wind shift to NW should allow the warmth to reach the Twin Ports. Above average temps stick around to start the new workweek, then a strong system could bring beneficial moisture from Monday to Wednesday.
