Justin Liles: A little more heat before a cool down

September 16th: More hot weather

More hot weather

Unseasonably warm weather continues to hold strong over the Northland. Many parts of the Northland on Monday were only a few degrees away from tying record highs. Temperatures around the region have been nearly 15° or more above average. The humidity is high enough for us to have enough energy to fire off some afternoon and early thunderstorms through the middle to end of the week. Tuesday will bring another summer day with similar conditions to what we saw Monday.

It does look as if our temperatures will drop slowly by the end of the week too. You will notice by the end of the week and into the weekend we will see a bit more cloud cover along with winds taking over off the lake on Sunday. Mostly cloudy conditions will stay carry over into next week.
