Justin Liles: Cold tonight & a nice weekend to follow
The departing low that brough in yesterday’s rain is now being replaced by and area of high pressure that will take us through the weekend. Temperatures are expected to climb through the weekend and into the beginning of next week.
Beginning Monday night, a round of rain begins with a slow-moving front passing through. Rain will likely persist Monday night through Wednesday. As the front moves through NW Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon and evening there is a chance some thunderstorms may pop up. There does not appear to be any worry for severe weather but any shift in the front will then skew the type of weather set to come through. After the front, at some point mid-next week, passes slowly southeast of the region expect a notable decrease in temperatures as a cooler and more seasonable airmass sets up again in the Upper Midwest to end next week.
