Light flurries tonight & warmth to follow

Light rain showers will continue to fall through at least midnight. The air is cold enough in the higher terrain of the Northshore for some light snow to fall. After a chilly start Tuesday morning temperatures will begin to a warmup through the end of the week. By Thursday many parts of the Northland may see temperatures climbing close to 70°F.

However, it will start to get a bit breezy by the middle of the week too. Since temperatures are increasing and winds are picking up, near-critical fire weather conditions are possible both Wednesday and Thursday. Despite some rain this past weekend most of the Northlands drought conditions have not improved. The next chance for rain does not arrive until Friday into Saturday.
