Justin Liles: Frost tonight and dry all week

Conditions this week will not change. Our fire danger is still high even though some areas of the Northland saw a little relief this weekend. Ashland, Iron, and Price Counties saw some improvements as well as the U.P. of Michigan. Dry conditions will not improve this week. There is not a lot of rain in the forecast. It looks as if our fire danger may increase this week.

the good news is winds won’t be to much of an issue until Friday. A frost advisory has been issued for all the viewing area tonight from 1am to 8am. Those of you holding on to garden life may want to protect the plants tonight. Temperatures will be more seasonal Tuesday and Wednesday. Look for temperatures to climb Thursday and Friday. Cooler temperatures return this weekend and there is small chance of seeing some light rain late Saturday night.

It’s also a great opportunity this week to go out and look at the fall colors. If you know someone wanting to check them out. Here is a quick look at current conditions. You can also check them everyday by clicking the link. Fall Color Watch
