Justin Liles: Hot and humid this weekend

August 23rd: Fog Tonight, Hot & Humid Weekend

Fog Tonight, Hot & Humid Weekend

Skies will continue to clear up as we head through the evening. Humidity is going to climb too as temperatures and dewpoints increase heading into the weekend. This will likely lead to some fog developing around the region by early Saturday morning.

Temperatures begin to warm tomorrow, but hot temperatures and muggy conditions will occur especially Sunday areawide and Monday in northwest Wisconsin. Most of the region will climb well into the low and mid 80s under humid conditions as dewpoint climb into the upper 60s and 70s. The combination of heat and humidity will likely lead to heat indices in the 90s. The biggest impact point will likely be east central Minnesota and west central Wisconsin. If you are heading to the Minnesota State Fair dangerous head is expected and heat advisories being posted by Sunday are possible. See the State Fair Forecast by clicking here

The next rain and storm chances will arrive as early as Sunday night lasting into early next week. Strong thunderstorms are possible Sunday night for north-central Minnesota and strong too severe in northwest Wisconsin and east- central Minnesota Monday afternoon and evening. Seasonable temperatures return Tuesday with continued thunderstorm chances into the middle of next week.
