Justin Liles: Much needed rain arrives Thursday
Temperatures today were some 10° – 20° cooler than yesterday around the Northland. Clouds will be on the increase tonight as we await more rain to the region by midmorning to early Thursday afternoon. Rain is expected to persist into Thursday night with totals up to around 0.2 to 0.4 inches for many areas. Now it looks as if there will be more from the Twin Ports south than across the Iron Range. This upcoming rainfall will be a huge benefit to the wildfire battle currently going on in northern Pine County.
Temperatures remain on the cool side through the weekend with somewhat dry conditions, then temperatures warm up with more moisture expected going into next week. Periodic rain chances will be possible.
