Justin Liles: Rain showers and fog

May 15th: Rain showers Thursday

Rain showers Thursday

Scattered showers will continue to track east through the region tonight and tomorrow. We are not looking at significant rain, but many areas will see anywhere from .10” to .3” of rain. This rain will cool the air down and likely create fog overnight. Most of the fog could become locally dense around the higher terrain of the Northshore. Eventually skies will begin to break heading into Thursday afternoon and evening. A period of unsettled weather will stretch over the next few days.

Multiple chances of rain with an occasional thunderstorm are possible heading into next week. Warmer weather is expected through it all with this weekend with the highs approaching 80 degrees in areas inland from the lake. Saturday looks to be the most interesting day heading into the weekend. It looks like we’re going to see early morning showers, followed by a mix of sun and clouds during the day, to more showers by late afternoon and evening. Sunday looks to be the best day of the weekend.
