Justin Liles: Rain to weaken tonight, Cooler and Windy Thursday

June 5th: Much cooler Thursday

Much cooler Thursday

This afternoon and early evening thunderstorm will weaken as the sun goes down. There will be periodic showers Thursday and through the weekend, with the greatest rain chances during the afternoon and evening hours. Westerly winds on Thursday will be stronger than Wednesday with gusts of 25 to 35 mph.

The potential for more rain is possible through the weekend with enough daytime heating leading to afternoon and early evening showers. This will likely be the case this weekend. Temperatures will be cooler than average Thursday with may mid-50s to lower-60s. By the time we get to the weekend temperatures will climb back into the mid to upper-60s and lower 70s. There will be a better chance for rain next Tuesday.
